About the Salon

My name is Margaret(Maggie) Gabriellli and I grew up in The Bronx ,New York and Westchester , when I was 14 we moved to Rockland County, New York. It all started when I was a little girl playing with Barbie’s and doing their hair. I knew i loved it from the start. When I graduated from Highschool , I had a choice of going to Cosmetology school or business school, my parents were very supportive of anything I chose. I knew I couldn’t sit at a desk all day, so I chose Cosmetology and attended The Capri Institute of Cosmetology in Paramus ,New Jersey.. I worked for a couple of salons while I was in school as an assistant, but i knew that wasn’t going to last long. I wanted to get my hands in hair and start creating. My first stylist job was at a small Salon in Westwood, NJ and I learned so much in the 11 years I was there, about myself, business and what I wanted out of my career. I opened my first Salon in 2001(Maggie’s Place) in Chestnut Ridge , NY. I went to all kinds of hair seminars and classes in New York City and specialized in color, straightening, perming, keratin treatments, and more.I loved having my own salon and built an amazing clientele with 6 employees. After 8 years, I decided that I wanted something different and decided to move to Ormond Beach, Fl. I was fortunate because one of my stylist offered to buy my salon at the same time. We moved to Ormond in July of 2008 and walked into Salon Delbrugge at the time(now Ideologie Salon)and was hired immediately. Starting over wasn’t easy in a town that no one knew me, but i got involved with my daughters schools and slowly developed a clientele. I worked at Ideologie for the past 16 years and thought it was time to have my own business again. I love what I do and love making people feel good about themselves.
