About the Salon

Tracy Farrar has been working in the beauty industry since 1998 and has been with Aveda since 2003. After completing her cosmetology degree, her career began in Florida at an Aveda Concept Salon that was repeatedly voted one of the top 200 salons by Salon Today Magazine. Her passion for education and hair color truly began there. She relocated to Wisconsin, and since 2005 has been working at Gemini Salon and Spa in Kenosha. She began her career at Gemini as an in-salon color coach mentoring new talent; soon thereafter became the director of education; studied to become a certified hair color trainer for Aveda, and finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a Hair Color Purefessional. She relocated to Madison, WI in March of 2018 and accepted a stylist position at Kismet Salon. At Kismet, she continued being the go-to color guru, built an amazing new clientele, and really got to know the city of Madison she now calls home. Tracy decided to open Boja Salon in the winter of 2020. Incorporating her Macedonian heritage from her late Grandfather (also a hairdresser) Boja means color, paint, or dye. Using the Eufora color and product line she cannot wait to start this wonderful new venture with her guests; continuing to bring beautiful colors into their lives, one on one, in a salon suite setting.
