About the Salon
Since the age of 16, I learned how to do facials while incarcerated. After my release, I began practicing on family and friends, though I didn’t initially see it as a career path. Growing up, my father had a dream of my siblings and me owning a salon, but I had different plans. In 2016, after losing my fathera devastating moment for meI decided to honor both him and my grandmother by starting my own company on her birthday. I began offering facials and makeup services to loved ones and also gave skincare consultations to coworkers, especially since many of us worked in challenging outdoor conditions.Despite my passion, maintaining consistency was difficult due to the demands of my full-time job. However, during the pandemic, while recovering from a job-related injury, I took the opportunity to fully commit to growing my business. Since then, I’ve remained dedicated to building and maintaining my company, even through the challenges. I’m not giving up.
